I am continuing on looking for ideas for my Avatar and have moved on to other features, such as mouths/lips. I might want something colourful or unique. After searching through rainbow lips which looked pretty good I found this one. I do want my features to look different but I do want it to look like it is supposed to be there. I am looking through many photos of special features just to have an idea on what is out there and what I can use, and also what can be my inspiration.

Avatar Assignment
I have been looking around at photos and features that I might want to include on my avatar race of people. I quite like these Puss In Boots eyes! I think I may include this in my avatar unless I find something else better. If I do use this I might change the bottom part of the eyes, where its green to be pink or something. I really like these eyes because they stand out quite a lot and does show emotion. I am not a 100% sure if I do want to use these eyes but at the moment I am looking at some eyes that do show emotion which gives me a head start on what my avatars personality might be like.

Emotion 3; Cheerful
(EMOTION BLOG)
Cheerful
These people in the pictures are all showing the emotion of being cheerful. The one most common thing that each of the pictures have is a big smile. Being cheerful is like being happy. Another similar feature includes that when the person is smiling, the eyes squint a little and bring a 'sparkle' to their eyes. They all look very bright and happy; cheerful.

Emotion 2; Stunned
(EMOTION BLOG)
Stunned
All these pictures are showing the emotion of stunned. Each of these faces have common ways of expressing being stunned. It's obvious that in every photo they all have their mouths open and eyes wide open in shock. Image 2 also has the feature of having his hands up to his face. This is also a similar feature the emotion of stunned is shown. Due to the fact that their eyes are wide opened, their eyebrows can also raise slightly.

Emotion 1; Confused
(EMOTION BLOG)
Confused
These images are all showing the emotion of confused. Each one of these pictures have similarities in the way they present this emotion. The pictures have the similar facial expression/features; the mouth is either is slightly open or in a tight pulled up way. The eyebrows are risen, pulling the skin on the forehead up (especially in pictures 1 and 2). Also, the main feature in the way to show confusion is the use of the arm/hand. All of the pictures have their arm up with their hand on their head. This is almost like they are trying to "scratch" or slightly "bump" their head to get something out to say or think.

Photoshop- First Attempts
REFLECTION: Tree Frog/ Emu
Techniques I used to create this image, includes Flipping/rotating, Resizing/ Combining pictures, Layering, Hue and saturation.
To create this image I firstly had to open up both the images of the Emu and the Tree frog. Then I had to combine the images by selecting only the part of the Emu I wanted (the head). I resized it to fit the frog and masked it. I changed the opacity so I could see the frog even though the emu was infront of it (opacity makes the image behind it visible- depending on the opacity % you put it on). I also made new layers so that I could brush out the beak of the emu, or the hair of the emu, to make a few different versions of the Tree frog/Emu specie. I was also able to change the colour by using the Hue and saturation technique. With this effect you are able to click on a part of the frog and colourise it on the hair, or wherever you wanted it. For example, I wanted the hair blue, so therefore I put the brush on the part of its leg where it is blue and colourised it on the hair so it matched and looked natural.
Voila! The picture is done.
